Meet Our Executive Director

Marv Torcedo

I was born in the mountains of the Philippines and immediately migrated to the United States, following my father, who served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. During his service, he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; San Diego, California; Orlando, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia; San Antonio, Texas; and Stuttgart Germany.

When my father retired, he continued his service as a cook, working at a retirement community in Virginia. My mother worked as a housekeeper at the same facility, and my first introduction to senior care came when I started working there as a dishwasher and floor tech.

While working as a radio broadcasting talent during, I earned a degree in psychology from Saint Louis University. Since that time, I have spent 28 years developing a progressively increasing passion in my humble service to senior retirement communities in California and Colorado, during which time I found joy hiking in the mountains, playing my guitar, snowboarding, and motorcycling in both states.

I was blessed to meet my lovely wife, Therese, in California. She is a nurse with the Veterans Affairs Hospital. We have two amazing daughters: Marissa, who was recently crowned as Banning Lewis Academy's 2022 "1st Princess" for her Junior Homecoming, and Marthessa, who loves to sing as much as she loves to play the piano.

My parents have always been my inspiration. Now, I find inspiration from my own family, including our Golden Doodle, Maci. Simply spending time with my wife, daughters and Maci is what I look forward to every day when I wake up and on my drive home.
